When overclocking and using a stress test should I be looking at..

Should I be looking at my how every single core temp is at or how the entire gpu temp is at?

I got an Be Quiet Pure Rock cooler, sitting on a box till I get a new case (s340) to start overclocking, tough it doesn't looking very promising looking at how beyond bad the temperatures look on stock cooler with no overclocking

Yes, those are terrible temps for even the stock cooler... if no OC. Always watch each individual core temp. Burn up one core and you're done.
Are you running a LinX stress test? Try IBT at the default settings. It uses the Linpack by Intel engine. See if the tempos are the same.

Do you want me to try this when I install my new cpu cooler? or right now with the stock?

Funny thing is that playing never pushes my cpu over 80 or 75 actually I've never seen it go that high.

Right now is idle at 32c~

32C at idle is about right. But 80C is warm. Safe but warmer than I would want. If you have a new cooler, install it and then run IBT. If you don't have the new cooler yet, run IBT with the stock cooler. I just wanted to compare stress test results.

If you can see the cooler feet posts from the back of your board, check that they all look the same; black posts spreading the white fingers open behind the board properly. Then check that front of the board to verify that all 4 black feet are flat against the board.

Yeah same I think 75C+ is a lot, also I do have the cooler. be quiet! PURE ROCK , however I do not have it install because I am waiting for a S340 case I bough to arrive, or should I just install it?

That's up to you. You are going to have to remove the motherboard from the case to install the new cooler. It seems like a lot of work to do just to test it. I thought you were concerned about the stock cooler's high temp problem?

My concern was reading what I had temperature I had to check when doing a stress test,
however I am kinda worried about how bad my stock cooler works or even if my CPU would be able to overclock at all (i53570k).

The entire CPU as a whole never went past 75C but as single cores.. it goes to 80C+

Ah my bad, yeah I noticed that yesterday while cleaning my CPU stock cooler, that it wasn't able to install it without removing the motherboard.

I am planning on getting an s340 this black friday, tough I don't see many good deals except a 1TB SSD for $200, so I might also get that and maybe a new motherboard, but I am indecisive in whether to get the SSD or get a new CPU + MOBO.

Well I think there is no much difference,

with the pure rock

however most of the time it did stay at 63-55c and right now while just browisng on the internet just get 35c


Might try it tomorrow if I get to fix the fans on my case not working.

What ya mean not much difference? Your previous IBT showed max temps @ mid/upper 80Cs. Now it is only upper 60Cs / lower 70Cs. Looks good to me.

Well got all fans working , and now I have like the same temperatures oh well...

this is so weird, I tough it was gonna make a difference but it doesn't feel like it or seems like it.
