I have 3 WD hard drives and they were working fine until a week ago or so. for some reason when i plug them to my pc usb no matter what hard drive and no matter to what usb plugin ( i have 4 in the front of the pc ) in most of cases there is that sound of detecting that some usb hardware plugged in but it's not installing any drivers and never show the hard drive/s.

in some cases there is no sound at all.
I can see on the hard drives that the power light is working.

I can confirm that if I plug in to the usb on the pc to any of the plugins my usb windows 10 bootable windows recognize it without a problem.
only the hard drives are not get recognized and there is no any message or any error.

another thing i can see is when i plug in the usb with the windows bootable and window recognize it when i plug in then one of my hard drives to another usb i see the usb with the windows bootable gone from windows and after some time windows recognize it again.

in general i can't figure out why window can't find or recognize the hard drives?
it was working but i can't remember if the problem/s started after a power fail in my home or something else that maybe did a restart to the pc maybe some updates.

I did a clean new install to the windows 10 pro just now and the problem/s seems to be the same.

some informations:

I'm using windows 10 pro - version 22H2 and Os Build: 19045.3930

I'm a little confused on the specifics of what you've tried but let's start with some basics. What model hard drives are these? Do they have their own power adapters? If so, are they plugged in? Have you tried connecting them to another PC?

It's unlikely three separate drives all randomly died simultaneously. It's possible a power outage involved a surge that damaged the PC, the hard drive power adapters (if applicable), or possibly even the hard drives themselves.
