When should I install my new 9 month old PSU?

Hi I bought a PSU last year September ts a Rosewill Capstone 750W Gold. But didn't end up using it cause my original PSU was fine I made a mistake thinking it was broken.

How long should I wait before I use this new PSU? I don't want to have it sitting down and then I realize the capacitors etc damages due to no electricity.

Dunno if it breaks down by just sitting here doing nothing.

I had a spare PSU in my attic for five years before I installed it. I don't think that capacitors get damaged by sitting idle, or Radio Shack would have had huge expenses in stock replenishment!
