When should I switch to DDR 4?

I have heard about DDR 4 is coming soon, and I am planning on building my new computer in a couple of months time and I am planning on keeping it for 3 to 4 years, should I worry about this?

wait for it to come out and see some tests before buying. for now ddr3 is good as ddr4

No, you shouldn't worry about it at all. DDR4, and associated motherboards, etc...won't be available mainstream for quite a while. Probably a year from now.
Servers first, then it eventually trickles down.

DDR4 is some time out and not available on anything coming soon.

Even so, ram speed does not seem to make any big difference in performance using Intel Haswell cpu's.

Exactly, USAFret. Especially true with memory controllers on the CPU die. The processors need to support it as well.
