It will spin automatically when it warms up or when the load gets high enough. You can use the corsair link software(if you have the cable plugged in) to manually run it and monitors its temp.

yeah but what temp should the fan start spinning and also how to i check how much load it is on
The fan is thermally controlled, so it wont turn on unless it has to. According to corsairs picture on the box, that is about 30% load.

ok cause i got worried that my psu is on 42c and the fan wasnt spinning also how do i do the self test do i need to have no cables in and plug the psu into the wall socket or with cables in?
For the self test you just need the psu to be plugged into the wall and press the button. However if the system is up at running there's little point to running the self test now. I have had mine for almost 2 years and the fan usually only runs after I been gaming(or benchmarking).

ok when i self tested it when i first got the psu i had to hold in the button for like 2 seconds
