Question When to get a new system?

My specs are as follows:
CPU: Intel i5 4670k
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) XPG
MOBO: Asus Z-87k
GPU: Soon to be GTX 1660 TI
PSU: Corsair CS650M

Now, in theory, could I just move my new GTX 1660 TI over to a new mobo/build in the next year or so? I plan to stay 1080p for a while, but would like to dabble in the 144fps life rather than 60 that my monitor is locked to.
