Heyas,

I've got my new rig up an running minus one stick of RAM. I have to RMA the kit due to a bad module, oh well! I'm going with a different set and will be using 4GBs until then.

It's been a while since I've OC'd and was just curious as to how long I should give the CPU to burn-in before OC'ing? Everything is new except for my PSU and GPU.

The 4GBs I have installed are running silky smooth and aced Memtest86+. I've also run Prime95 at stock CPU speeds with no hiccups.

Should I wait a few weeks or until I get the new RAM? I won't be going too high of an OC. I'm thinking just over 3.2GHz because I'd like to keep it at a stable OC indefinitely.

Thanks for the advice!

just benchmark a few times and play some games for a couple days to stress the CPU a little bit, you just need the thermal compound to settle and that should not take more than a few days...

Other than that, as long as the memory module you will add at a later date, is the same as the others, feel free to OC now, you should be able to just pop the other module in...
