When to reformat

First off, reboot and reformat are two completely different things.

Reboot = restart, or shutdown and start back up
Reformat = wipe the hard drive and install windows.

When should you reformat? When the computer will not run properly anymore and you are too lazy (or don't have the time) to fix it. Or if you like doing that sort of thing, then whenever you get bored. Me personally, I have better things to do.

I vote leave it be...

Restarting the PC occasionally is a good thing, especially if you PC seems to be running slower. Some programs (poorly written ones, like there are any of those) when closed do not give up their PC resources and even Windows needs to have you reboot (restart) the PC to properly do it's background housekeeping.

ya i have tons of games on my computer but dont know if it makes a difference at all on the speec h avnt noticed anything going slow at all so figured i would ask have some input on the question have over 50 games +

Wow, that's a lot of games.

Some people like to do fresh installs occasionally because they may have a ton of stuff on their machine that they don't want anymore. There's nothing wrong with that.

There should be no performance problem with having that many games installed as long as your hard drive is not completely full.

If you don't know if it makes a speed difference or not, then I'd say it doesn't.
