When to upgrade BIOS?

I've been upgrading my BIOS as new versions come out, but where do I find what issues the newer BIOS's are enhancing? Should I NOT upgrade the BIOS unless I am experiencing any issues?

Isn't there a release notes, changelog, or readme usually?

Usually there should be some release notes available where you download the BIOS. Although release notes do not always tell everything but sometimes just the most critical or important changes leaving out minor corrections that are not critical. Therefore, IMO, it is always a good idea to update the BIOS when an update is available even when you don't find any good reason in the rel notes.

I just looked up your mobo on Asus web site, and in their BIOS download section it says:

P5W DH Deluxe BIOS 2004
Enhance memory compatibility
Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx

That I guess is the closest you get to a "release note" :S
