When to upgrade my PC?

I recently built my first PC, and was wondering about how long it would last before I need to upgrade it. I built it with future-proofing in mind, but was also wondering if I should look to overclocking my processor or upgrading any specific parts (Ex. the graphics card) as time goes on. Will any parts start to die out?

Finally, I was wondering how it compares to other PCs right now. Would it be considered a mid range or a high end PC, or somewhere in between?

I noticed when looking at it that it didn't have my CPU cooler. I have the corsair h100i water cooler.

Thanks in advance.

It will probably be around 3 years before you need to upgrade, depending on the new games that come out and on how high you like the quality of them. The parts should last 7+ years with ease. I recommend you overclock if you want too, but it won't have a big impact.
I don't know what to recommend as far as parts upgrade. Right now, you shouldn't need to upgrade as long as you are satisfied with it. In the future, it probably will be the graphics card that needs an upgrade. Probably something in the range of a 980 or whatever new comes out.
Your PC is high end, much better than most out there.
Its pretty high end.
The i7 4790k already boosts to 4.4Ghz so no reason to really bother with overclocking it. That GPU should last you a couple of years assuming you play at 1080p. All the parts SHOULD function for 10+ years (but they will be obsolete by then) you really shouldn't worry about them dying out.
