Question When upgrading SSD on laptop, is installing Windows 10 fresh really leads to better performance than just cloning the SSD to a higher capacility one?

Some said that it is better to install Windows 10 fresh on a larger SSD and then replace the stock SSD. Others said that just cloning existing SSD to a larger SSD does not slow down performance of the new system, who is correct?

Hi, I have cloned all my pc's when swapping ssd to a larger ssd, and not noticed any slowdown in performance. maybe it just comes down to personal preference.
