Question When using Task Scheduler is an .exe.mui file okay/same as an .exe file?

I have a new PC and before I start hitting buttons and Doing Things, I just want to make sure that my nightly automatic shutdown can be effected with shutdown.exe.mui? I know what the MUI stands for but not sure if it is ok to use. I only know enough to get myself in trouble. Thanks. - A

Since you know, what mui file is, you should know, you can't run it.

From context, just to be sure, .mui = multi user interface file.

Very much agree that you do not want "to get yourself in trouble".

However, that said:

What are the specifc requirements regarding the stated nightly automatic shutdown?

For example, you manually shutdown via the power icon and then Windows is required to do some series of actions:

Back up,
Delete files,
AV & malware scan?
etc....

Then shutdown after completing those actions.

More information needed.
