When will it be a more reasonable time to buy / build my new gaming pc

I've been saving for a year for my first custom gaming pc and I have enough now, but I've been waiting for this bitcoin mining thing to die down so graphics card prices aren't through the roof but it's still going on apparently is there any hint of it going away some time soon

If we knew the exact time that cryptocurrencies go cold again, we'd be short-selling them. It's really a wait-and-see thing.

i do not understand why everyone is waiting for GPU prices to go down before building an entirely new PC. heck, i built a new PC back in the spring and i used my old Radeon HD 7770 till i was able to get the money for a 1060.
