When Will Newegg Have the MSI GAMING X GTX 1060 In Stock?

Hi, The MSI GAMING X GTX 1060 came out a little over a week ago and the first day, Newegg sold out. I can't find the gpu in stock anywhere else and when I do, it usually is very expensive. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how long it usually takes newegg to restock their graphics cards.

No one knows! These GPU's are in very high demand at the moment and Nvidia just can't keep up with the supply. Have you considered a RX480? There a cheaper, offer similar performance (some frames are lost) and they are readily available. You can set alerts on Newegg to tell you when a specific item is in stock, do that and you'll be e-mailed once you can purchase the 1060. You'll have to be quick though because they will sell like hot cakes

There is no point in asking.

Until supply exceeds demand we will continue to see price gouging. Check back every week or so, but if I had to give an EDUCATED GUESS it would be several more weeks.

It's not an issue that can be easily resolved. The fab plant will simply continue to create more GPU's, which will then be sent to manufacturers like Asus, EVGA etc, who in turn will create new graphics cards (relatively quickly) then ship them to the store.

It's the fabrication plant that is the bottleneck and it's not something that can be sped up even if you threw money at it.

GPU availability is a function of amount produced, yield percentage, shipping to OEM commitment etc.

Some articles talk about NVidia "resolving the issue" which makes me laugh a bit. How do they do that? They aren't really in the loop at this point in terms of GPU creation.

Maybe you should consider a 1070, iv'e been seriously considering it this last week with these 1060 outages. Only thing holding me back is that I have a 550w PSU on the way and i'm not sure if that would be enough for the 1070. So i'm stuck here waiting for the 1060.
