Question When will Thunderbolt 5 components be available for purchase?

Last Fall, I read that Thunderbolt 5 components could be seen in CES 2023 but that did not seem to have happened. Is there a delay? When can we buy Thunderbolt 5 components?

Hey there,

Well we don't quite know that. TB 4 is only hitting mainstream now. There was 5 year gap between TB 3 and 4, so chances are for TB 5 will be while yet.

Thanks. I am considering to buy a Thunderbolt 4 dock. As you know, they are quite expensive. If Thunderbolt 5 components will be available this year, maybe it is better to wait?
