When your PSU wattage is greater than the outlet's wattage

I built a new rig but it wouldn't turn on....Am i correct in thinking that the PSU wattage is greater than the outlets wattage ? my PSU is 850 watts by the way.

No.While it might be the reason,its is ludricrous to start from there.A troblushoot should start from the basics.Why dont you tell us your system specs please.Thanks

No, that's not your problem. First off, assuming you have 120V mains and a typical household breaker of 15A, the outlet could supply 1800W. 2nd, your PSU only draws as much power as it needs, and at startup power draw should be fairly low (compared to full load). There are plenty of other reasons that your computer won't start that are far more likely.

Should I install my GTX970 ? could it be it ? Can the PC turn on with the motherboard's GPU ?

What do you mean with "not turning on"? If it just doesn't start at all build it again and use the former links as well as the manual as a checkpoint to make sure all is connected well.

I plugged the power switch into power led and power led into power switch by mistake...I switched them and now it works buttery smooth...
