Question Whenever I go into or out of full screen my monitor goes black for a few seconds

As the title suggest the new pc that I just built has the issue where whenever I go into or out of full screen it goes black for a few seconds before returning to normal. Is there any fix?

This is normal it's just the gpu rendering it's normal scales from full screened video/photo to consentrated size and format to render new options

Thanks, but is 5 seconds of black screen normal or is that too much? Just wanting to make sure

Is your desktop set to a different resolution/refresh rate than your ingame setting?

check it the gpu and monitor have same resolution and screen settings .

K thanks I know this is probably a stupid question but how do I check that? I think I have an idea but I'm not sure

Oh my game only supports 60, 120, and 240 hz while my monitor is 144 could that be the issue?

Yes, if your desktop setting is different than the game, then the system has to switch display settings every time. Try setting your desktop to 120 Hz or 240 Hz.
