Whenever I shut down(or restart) and then turn my computer back on, my computer will go past the windows booting up screen and then just go black. The computer is still running but my keyboard doesn't input anytinhg. So I naturally shut it down by presing the power button, and then turn it back on. After restarting AGAIN everything boots up correctly and I can get to the login screen. My computer works perfectly for weeks until I need to shut down or restart again. If I do, that problem happens again.

I have had this computer for two years, and it has just started happening.

It is an AMD cpu with a gtx 760.

Are you familiar with the event viewer? Maybe have a look there and see if anything is failing at startup?

I feel like I've seen this before but don't remember what was causing it or what we did to correct. Probably not worth a reinstall...
