Whenever i use PasskMark Software http://www.passmark.com/index.html and test my system i always get a problem when i restart. Usually something along the lines of "Your system had a failure overclocking please go to bios" whether i have everything set on default or overclocked.

Also first time i ran the benchmark i get a score of 6k+ and now i cant get above 5.5k and i do not know why.

I feel like i obviously damaged a part somewhere but everything passes every test i can think of. I have no idea where the fault could lie.

Anyone have any ideas??

so it passes prime95/aida64/occt/intel burn test/memtest86and furmark/valley if so then the problem most likely is software, but only if it passes all of these tests. also knowing your system specs and settings you are running could help

I have not tried all those but i tried different ones from that. Now im going through that list.

i7 5930k/Hydro 110 liquid cooling
980 Geforce Galax HOF
ddr4 3000mhz
Asus 99x pro
512gb Crucial SSD, 3.5tb hd
nzxt 850 power supply

I really dont think its anything with the specs

I think i messed it up somewhere by overclocking but i overclocked it minimally so im surprised it would cause any problems.

Also when i run the passmark benchmark test and after i restart and it gives me the "Overclocking problem go to bios" message (Whether anything is overclocked or not) it is usually the Mem LED light that comes on. So i think the most likely problem is the Ram sticks but they passed every test i ran at them as well.

ok, since you have x99 board with ddr4 i would suggest updating bios if possible, there are many bugs with that platform at the moment, most have been fixed with bios updates, but there are still issues, to me it seems it's bios issues with your memory, especially since the ram led lights up, if you cannot find a newer version bios, try setting your ram at 2800mhz it could help

So iv been running the Memtest and it took almost all day but no errors were found.

Then when i started to restart my computer i got another "Failed overclocking check Bios" message. Then i went and took a look at my RAM sticks and they were set at like 3800mhz+ BUT i did not do that.

Do you know any setting that could be turned on that would cause the sticks to raise MHZ on its own??

I have not figured out why i got 6k+ on the benchmark before but now im getting 5.5k BUT i solved part of my issue.

For whatever reason when i run these stress tests or error checking tests or first restart after using my computer after making overclock changes the "Mem_Ok/Dram LED" light goes. And i guess what it wants me to do is press the "Mem_Ok" button because then everything goes smoothly and i get a to sum it up Memory/overclock is successful message. On the other hand if i power on the regular way i will get a "Overclocking Failed" message.

Im not necessarily sure if this is common as this is my first motherboard with Mem_Ok button but anyway thats what i have to do for everything to go smoothly when the Dram_LED light goes on before powering up.

mem ok button usually just resets memory to it's defaults in case something went wrong with memory oc, it seem to me more and more it's an early bios bug on that board, one that should be fixed with next bios, i could be wrong ofcourse
