Hey guys I built my computer back in 2014 so maybe it has some parts that need updated but I’ll tell you what my problem is and then I’ll list my build. I play mostly fortnite and everything is set to low settings in game. I’ve even went as far as stretching my resolution which helped me get better frames and make my game run much smoother. However I still never get the frame I’m looking for. I average probably 140ish frames while others get 240+ consistent frames. Idk what to change or update in my computer so I would appreciate any insight.

Solution
No, nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Have you fully removed GPU drivers (including prior versions)? If not, DDU is a great tool for this - unfortunately the "clean installation" selection in the Nvidia driver installer isn't perfect.

Just to clarify though, in Fortnite, what settings/resolution are you playing at?
While I don't play the game myself, I am seeing reports of ~100-150FPS on Epic/1080p, with High/Medium 1080p being used for the 200FPS range.....
My OS install is only months old. I factory reset my ssd yearly. However I’ve never monitored my temps or my utilization in real time. Can that be tracked in the task manager performance tab? My CPU has a water cooled block installed on it as well. I can track the numbers a little later today if need be.

Factory reset does not = clean install. If you're only resetting, you potentially have leftover OS/drivers that have the potential to cause issues. Not a guarantee, but a possibility.

Task Manager won't allow you to monitor temps.
MSI Afterburner allows you to create an on-screed display (OSD) which you can configure to show whatever stats you want:

HWMonitor is a stand-alone program, which will monitor too - but you'd need to tab out to see (or have it on a separate monitor).

Do the Temperatures/Usage numbers I've posted show anything out of the ordinary?
