I just bought the great Audio Technica M50XBT headphones and wanted to connect them to my computer via Bluetooth, but I realized my motherboard and network adapter don't have Bluetooth! ARGH! I guess never assume that today's components have everything built in. Anyways, the headphones support Bluetooth 5, but I can't find any brand-name USB dongles that support Bluetooth 5. Does anyone have a good dongle to recommend or have any news/gossip of when leading manufacturers, like ASUS, are going to release a Bluetooth 5 dongle?

Also, if I use a Bluetooth 4.0 dongle with these headphones, what would the disadvantages be? Would the sound quality, latency, or range be worse than if I had a BT 5 dongle?

Avantree makes a pretty decent range of bluetooth products:

If you only want a dongle I can recommend the DG60: https://avantree.com/dg60-bluetooth-usb-audio-transmitter which I guess I must have sold out or something (because it now says "coming soon" and I have had this product for a month now).
It supports aptX-HD, Low Latency, has good range and is bt 5.0. It's working great with my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones.
