Where are the LGA 1155 mobos?

I have recently went through many sites to try and upgrade my motherboard which is a retailer mobo (ASUS) but there seems that there aren't many big brand mobos around, or if they are, they're really expensive. Are they becoming obsolete or it it just a temporary thing?

If they are obsolete (which is most probable) should I either
a. wait for prices to drop
2. Ditch 1155 and upgrade to 1151 or something with a large 'support' from large brands
C. Just buy now and do more scouring through the interwebs

ah darn it, I wonder if computer builds with rare parts increase its value in the future (probably not right?).

this is the first computer I have ever bought and wanted to upgrade the motherboard to something that is recognizable and maybe even with good onboard graphics while i save up for a good graphics card. I have a puny 1GB EVGA 8400gs. I did not build it from scratch which is why it has a retailer (not aftermarket) motherboard.

The best option it to just ditch 1155 then? I was a noob (still am) when I bought it and did'nt do research and now its biting me back.
