Would like to buy a legitimate copy of Windows 10 64bit Home Version for a cheaper price than $100 if there is any source that sells it. Most online retailers like newegg, ncix, and directcanada sell them for around $130. Flash drive preferred but dvd is ok too.

Solution

Yes, you create an ISO file and then use Rufus or Microsoft's own Windows USB/DVD Download Tool to create a bootable USB drive using that ISO. If you use the latter then the architecture (x86, x64) of the ISO and PC creating the bootable drive must be the same.

Yea but I'm building an entirely new build with the corsair carbide 400c which doesnt have an optical drive so i need to get a copy of windows 10 using a flash drive and the cheapest that sells is $135 from ncix. I also found windows 10 for $21 on ebay for the download + product key and im not sure if it's legit but it doesn't matter cuz i cant use it anyway. If you can find me another way to get windows 10 cheap it would be very much appreciated.

Rule of thumb, anything significantly cheaper is not a genuine copy, no way would that eBay licence be a legit copy. You just need to factor in the cost of Windows into your overall build cost.

I'd always recommend paying a little more for a full licence too instead of OEM. OEM is tied to the first motherboard it's used on and it limits future upgrade options and may force you to buy another copy later on which you wouldn't have needed with a full licence.

Can you not borrow an optical drive for the installation or to create a bootable USB drive?

There's no such thing as a cheap copy of Windows; the price is what it is. If you buy it from somewhere like eBay, Kinguin or G2A there's no guarantee that you'll get a valid key for the language and edition of Windows you want. Even if you do get a working key, it could be revoked if it later transpires that the key was acquired illegally.

So you're saying that I can buy the dvd version for $115 and transfer it to a bootable flash drive on another computer?

Where can i get the full license? I've looked everywhere like newegg, ncix, directcanada, mikescomputershop, amazon and they all only carry the oem version

If you can get Windows 7 or 8.1 today and upgrade to W10 before tomorrow that would be cheapest. A lot of retailers here are selling off W 8.1 cheaply (about 2/3rds the price) but unless you have all your parts ready to go and there's a physical store you can go to it's probably not going to be the way to go 🙁

Do you know any students? They can buy W10 at a discount from the Microsoft store? I can also buy it cheaply through my work as I sometimes work at home, maybe your employer has a similar setup?

Ask your university, some sell it for much cheaper than retail. If your university does not have an OS offered, you can buy a retail or OEM copy of Windows 10 Home and then upgrade to Education for free, which includes basically all Windows 10 Pro features and many of the Enterprise features too.
