Question Where can I connect this HDD??

Hi, my pc case is too small to install a HDD into the caddy by my power supply, my power supply doesn’t leave enough room for the cage to be in so I have had to take the cage out of the case. I am aware that hard drives shouldn’t be left dangling or hanging free as they vibrate and have moving parts. I currently have a 3.5” HDD sea gate barracuda and I don’t know how else I can secure this drive into place.

would it be okay to leave it laying flat on the bottom of my case with my SSD? Or is there any external docking station I can use to secure it or anything? I have seen I can buy a 2TB m.2 ssd but they are quite expensive compared to this drive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

KOLINK observatory. The cables out the back of my power supply dont have enough room to root through around my caddy next to it.

Can I use double sided tape or Velcro and put it on the base of my pc case?

In the front bottom, there are two spaces for 3.5" drives.


The PSU is too large and you had to remove the drive cage?

The cables coming out the back of the psu don’t leave enough room for the drive cage next to it, the cables don’t bend very easily and they cannot be plugged in while the drive cage is in.

The drives inside of the cage are fine, they fit fine inside of the cage however there isn’t enough room for the cage alongside with the power supply

What is your Power Supply? By looking at the picture of that case section where you put the PSU there should be enough space for the cables.

you mean the case the the hdd is at 90 degress.
as long as it secure to the bottom

That case is different from my one, the drive bay is more to the centre of the case than the front fans, it’s positioned different to that picture.
