so i tried to install Blade and Soul, and after waiting in launcher (2-4 hrs not sure now) i gave up since it went to 500kb/s down to 1000bite/s and then up and down while i average 10MB/s usually.

so i just uninstalled, but i did not received my hard drive space back, i double checked to uninstall a launcher and game separately. nothing, restarted , still nothing.

what now ?

disc cleanup would give me 1 GB (recycle bin) witch i can empty but i keep some files just in case there.

i dont think that could give me anyting else besides that.

I'm not familiar with the game so i googled it and it took me to BladeandSoul.com and can download a 200MB lite installer, is this it?

I'm guessing that gives you a launcher which then downloads the rest of the game? It could be using your internet temp folder which disk cleanup would have ticked.

How are you sure you lost space? Were you space conscious before downloading?

i had about 420 GB free (lel) installed some C++ restr (takes up 300~ MB) and thats it.

nowi have 407GB (after uninstalling). whre can i find internet temp folder ?

You'll have the option of cleaning temp folder if you run cleanup in system tools as Nerijus suggested

Or c:\temp or c:\Windows\temp. Can manually delete. Check the file size combined by highlighting all > right click > properties. If you made a mistake by duplicating (God i hate that lol but serves me right being too quick for myself sometimes) ctrl z will reverse last action sending to recycle bin.

Unrelated tip: Shift + delete bypasses recycle bin if you didn't know that.

well i dont know what happend, i just bluescreened i now i have 583 GB free memory... i think something is broken...

+ i cant access temp files, since somehow i'm not adminstarator on only user on this pc...

i was playing lol while chatting on skype, its allways the same.

game starts to load, i ALT+ TAB, but when i press on mozilla to enter 2ez.gg (but manage to press only on empty tab and press 2 when it bluescreens)

i'm runing windows 7 ultimate x64

930GB (1 TB )

windows 7 ultiamte x64

mo i dont think i have done any cleanups recently, tho i cleared some old recordings and such, though i dont think it should have opened up so much space

that is strange, this much space might appear after disk cleanup, system cleanup, and sometimes when you reboot all freed up space appear. But if you haven't done it, it is strange, check for viruses like boju suggested, also use disk check utility, download it from hdd vendor, to check your disk.

i dont think its a virus, i have avast! runing 24/7 though i will need to do a scan tomorrow, and i have plans to rewriting windows (formatting HDD) soon, i'm just prepearing to backup my sensitive data.

well cant say i'm not happy :)

though i would not be surprised if my PC wold just not straight up turn on tomorrow

anyway thanks for help.

What i believe your issue here is this:

When you start downloading a Steam game it reserves the disk space temporarily for that game while it downloads.
When you abort it in the middle of the downloading it isnt so positive so something must have gone wrong when
you aborted the download so the disk space is somewhat still reserved for that purpose..
