Where do case fans plug into on the motherboard?

Where do the fans plug into and how many case fans should i have, my case comes with two. One in the left side top corner and one on the right side bottom corner. This is the case: http://www.corsair.com/en/carbide-series-clear-400c-compact-mid-tower-case

You should have fan headers on the motherboard for connecting the fans. The headers usually say "fan".
The number of fans you have depends on your case and motherboard.

CPU_FAN is for your CPU cooler
CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN are for your case fans
some motherboards only have a connection for one case fan.
Not a problem, you can get an adapter for a few £ to connect a case fan direct to your PSU, or a splitter to connect 2 fans to one motherboard fan connector.

I have a pretty fast PC which is running with one case fan.
If I had a bigger GPU, or a serious overclock, I would need 2 case fans
