Whenever I boot my new computer I always get this message saying CPU FAN ERROR before going to bios. I think it has something to do with how my liquid cooler fans are connected. Right now, the liquid cooler fans are connected to the pump.

CPU: 5820k
MOTHERBOARD: Asus x99 DELUXE
GPU: 1070 strix OC
LIQUID COOLER: Kraken x61

Solution
Have you tried connecting the fans to the CPU_FAN header?

Motherboards will freak out if there's no fan detected in that header since it will think the CPU will overheat since there's no fan connected.

If you want to avoid the error, the BIOS may have a setting for the mobo to ignore the fact there's no fan attached.

Solution
the kraken x61 pump itself has a Mobo header. did you plug the pump header into the cpu fan connector? if you plug the header into the Mobo it shouldn't give the error anymore. and plug the radiator fans into the pump connectors.
