I'm in the process of building a PC for number crunching, no gaming. I have already chosen two parts :
1 ) Case : Fractal Design DEFINE R5
2 ) Processor : AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

I will use this PC primarily for calculations and developing multi-threaded applications in C++. Not for
gaming, so decent graphical performances will be sufficient. I'm a software developer and not a hardware
specialist, so your advice on the motherboard (X570), the fastest DDR4 memory, the power supply to use.
For the processor cooling i was thinking on the "bequiet! DARK ROCK PRO 4".

I thank you in advance

Are you going to be running VMs for debugging? If so, what size are these VMs? Have you verified that your application(s) will scale to 16 or 32 threads?
What resolution(s) and what monitor interface cable types do you require ?
What about backup and CM storage ? Is that required ?

A budget would help provide you with more relevant choices.
