The M.2 SSD that I have chosen is the Samsung SSD SM961 128GB
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/samsung-1tb-nvme-m-2-ssd-sm961-ships-next-week.html

My motherboard, very important ofcourse: Asus-Z170-A
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132566
(it says up to 32gb/s M.2, but some peope say putting it in the PCI-E slot makes it way faster. I don't have enough knowledge about this subject, so im asking you :D)

~~So my question is, should I put my M.2 SSD on my motherboards buildin M.2 slot or should I put it in a PCI-E slot with an adapter (if so, what do I need to look for my adapter).~~

(I'm looking for the option that gives me the most read & writes).

Thanks for helping in advance!

Solution
The M2 slot. As far as I understand, the idea of putting the M2 device into PCIe slot is just about moving it away from the main heat source, the graphic card, to avoid overheating (and therefore throttling) + M2 slot on some boards only support M2 device in SATA mode (severely limiting) or could only allocate 2 PCIe lanes (16Gbps) to that slot instead of 4 (32Gbps).
