So I recently got an LGA 1366 HP Z400 Workstaion Motherboard for a really good price. When I got it I saw there were multiple pin layouts but I could not seem to find the power SW pin layout. Also can this motherboard support normal desktop DDR3 RAM?

Solution
RAM needs to be ECC so no.
there is no pinout information, you can find this out by trial and error.

I own a Z400 motherboard and I'm currently running 24GB of unbuffered, standard DDR3 memory at the moment. While it doesn't run at full speed, i've had no issues with it and the system runs great. The Z400 does not officially support non-ECC memory, but many users have reported that, like me, non-ECC works as well.

Also, front panel connection diagrams for the Z400 can be found here.

Good luck with your Z400, benjamin123456789!
