Where do they go?

This is a continuation of "Why does Win8 auto delete programs?"
I reinstalled MS Office Outlook 2003 and wouldn't you know it, that when I opened it up my emails were there!? So, when I went searching for it before, it did not come up anywhere. It had to be in the sys. somewhere, but where? Now I'm afraid to reinstall Word 2003 because I'll start this whole process over again. Damn Win8!
Anyone got any ideas of what is actually going on?
I may be dumb, but I ain't plum dum!

They are not on the computer they are on the email server for whichever email service you use.
