Question Where do you want to install Windows is blank

Hello,

I am just trying to install a clean Windows 11 on an HP Laptop 17-by4061nr. I cant get it to see the hard drive that I just formatted. I researched and it seems Intel removed the old way of loading the driver to a USB and its a SetupRST.exe now.

Where did you source the installer for the OS? Can you press Shift+F10 to bring up CMD and use DiskPart to see if the drive is seen by the laptop(not the OS)?

I made it on Microsoft’s website using the Media creation tool. I use it all the time so I know it works. Diskpart can only see the 8GB usb that I install windows with. I tried disabling and enabling secure boot in the bios but it’s still the same.

While you could find the NVMe driver by googling for F6 RST driver, it might not help with your 11th gen.

At least with 12th gen HPs, even HP suggest their Cloud Recovery Tool as a workaround.

You need RST driver v19 or v18, HP has v17 on the laptop's page

Can you show photos of bios screens from your laptop?

Does BIOS of your laptop have option to turn off Intel RST ?
If yes, then try turning it off.
