As can be seen below my case has a open compartment on the top, does my radiator go in it or below it?

The images are of an empty version of my case from hexus.net, my case is the NZXT tempest 410 elite.

I have a nepton 240m. I am trying to install it but I am unsure of where to put my radiator, silly I know but its tricky your first time.

no, no real difference of having the fans or the radiator in the top, so long as your hoses can still reach the radiator.

you'd be surprised at the war over putting the fans in either a push(pushing air through the radiator) or pull(pulling the air trough the radiator) configuration, but really they're not terribly different in performance under most situations. i would be more concerned with the fans participation in the case's overall airflow than if they're push or pull to the radiator.

rubbing alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol, is very good for cleaning electronics as its non conductive and evaporates quite fast. if the copper plate came with pre-applied paste, do not clean it off unless you intend to apply your own paste. if you...
likely the radiator goes inside the case, and the fans for the radiator go inside that compartment. if you can get the radiator to fit in there, thats fine, just remember you gotta get the hoses to reach it in there. the metal surface under the grate with the 2 holes cut out is sandwiched between the fans and radiator usually, though there are other ways to put them together. there really isnt a wrong answer, as long as you're not blocking the motherboard or other components and the fans are moving air through the radiator.

So no major diff either way?

Should my fans be in any particular fashion if I have the radiator in my case?

On a side note I bought rubbing alcohol from my local pharmacy, is this okay to use for cleaning off paste and should I also wipe down my coolers copper plate?
