using a dc10+ under windows 98 i was able to change a registry setting
called errorstreamhandler to stop studio7 from dropping a frame every
time there was a slight fault on a video tape. the windows xp registry
doesn't have this setting, is it somewhere else instead?

warning -- bbc7 and an increasing number of other stereo radio
stations are broadcast in 1960s style mono on dab digital radio,
a system that is supposedly "the future of radio".

The DC10+ driver was completely rewritten for Win2k/XP, AFAIK.
You may be out of luck. Consider getting a TBC to capture
questionable quality video without dropping frames.
