Question Where exactly is the pwm slot?

I’m going crazy trying to figure out how to run 6 ring trio fans and the xi formula has 2 addressable headers so ok that’s fine. But then in trio specs it talks about if I want to do edit ring speeds (i think) connect it to the pwm. How many of these slots does this motherboard have.
I am completely new to this trying to figure this all out

There are no "pwm slots". PWM stands for pulse width modulation and it is a way to control the duration that power is applied to a circuit, .e.g. 50% on and 50% off would be slower than 75% on and 25% off.

Typically the connectors that support user selected pwm are on a separate fan controller. You might check you BIOS for any fan settings. There may be some there to control fan headers on the motherboard.

Ok just trying to figure this whole thermaltake RGB trio fan situation I have.

I'm not really an RGB guy - but according to Asus website
2 x Aura Addressable Strip Header(s)
2 x Aura RGB Strip Headers
1 x CPU Fan connector(s)
1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s)
1 x Chassis Fan connector(s)
1 x Optional Fan connector(s)
1 x H_AMP fan connector
1 x 5-pin EXT_FAN(Extension Fan) connector
1 x 5-pin EXT_FAN(Extension Fan) connector

So the FANS need to connect to the Fan headers you have
and then do the Fans have another cable that controls the RGB? They would go on the Aura connectors, I'd assume.

I see

1 x 4-pin CPU_FAN connector
1 x 4-pin CPU_OPT fan connector
3 x 4-pin Chassis fan connectors
1 x 5-pin EXT_FAN connector
1 x 4-pin H_AMP fan connector
1 x 4-pin W_PUMP+ connector
1 x 2-pin W_IN connector
1 x 2-pin W_OUT connector
1 x 3-pin W_FLOW connector
1 x 4-pin AIO_PUMP connector

The top two are for the CPU, so these fans' speed will be controlled by the heat of the CPU.
The chassis ones are the primary ones for the case fans.
The 5 pin is for an add-on Asus card.
The H_AMP is for high amperage fans. I think it can be used for low amp fans too, but I'm not 100% sure.
The two PUMP connectors can also be used if you are not using a water cooler.

All the fans can be set up and regulated in the UEFI.

These are for the lighting effects:

2 x AURA addressable headers
2 x AURA RGB strip headers
