where is my hotmail account gone

Today my new laptop had to be cleared out and set back to the original settings. This doggone laptop is only a month old! Now that I am back online, I have found that my Hotmail account, which I have had for years, and which has all my contacts, has vanished. Is there some way to get my Hotmail account back? Please help if you can. Thank you kindly. Kat Wells

What do you mean when you say the Hotmail account has "vanished." When you try to log in does it say your account doesn't exist?
