lets start another flaming thread! come on guy... its great to post a link, but not so great so start another flame thread.
Err, pot kettle my friend. What are you trying to gain? Trying to exult yourself to the noble position as forumn do-gooder? Your logic is circular and can be applied to you as well. As for my intentions I would be lying to say I don't find a bit of joy in his blatant mispredictions. Be this as it may, the editorial he wrote IMHO put this sight in a bad light and yes, it does look like it is time for him to revisit that editorial and re-evaluate his position. And that my friend is my main intent whether you choose to believe it or not.i mention you because no one does anything they don't have something to gain from. you ARE trying to gain something from this, thats only obvious. would you post a thread about someones mistake not involving you just to point out they were wrong? i don't think you would. its not worth the effort or your precious time. humans are lazy creatures so i doubt you would invest time and brain power in something you don't care about.
i hope you understand my point. if you do and still disagree, by all means continue. i'll keep reading to see if i can understand you better.
Ahh, don't you just miss those days? Sure the conversation was just as heated, but at least it was on a much higher level don't you agree? Just do a search in the CPU 2001 archives and search by username. It is interesting to look at all the predictions and see how close some of us came. Do you remember the debates about Moore's law? RDRAM? PR Ratings?please do, I have been looking for those actually...![]()
Yeah, I miss the old days with Raystonn and Matisaro FatBurger and ... who was the one who posted nothing but anti-AMD flamebait? I can't believe I forgot his name. That was back when I actually used to post a lot. Now that Raystonn has been proven wrong on all his "Rambus WILL be the memory of the future" predictions, he's not around anymore. Oh well ...Ahh, don't you just miss those days? Sure the conversation was just as heated, but at least it was on a much higher level don't you agree?
That's the guy! I can't believe I forgot his name. Melty! I hated his anti-AMD bent, but he was pretty funny. At least he had a sense of humor, unlike some of the more intense members of the forum.aMdMeLtDoWn perhaps?
you guys remember intelinside?
you guys remember intelinside?
Yep, I think you're right about Spud, although his new nickname escapes me for the moment.Spud got banned repeatedly, and I think is still around but with a non potato-related username.
I think fugger's still about. Never seems to post much though.
Sounds something like the Clinton defense....it all depends on what your definition of the word "is" is.Omid? Completely wrong? I don't think ANYONE is COMPLETELY wrong. Even Darko is right about some things! He's got a fairly good perspective on AMD stocks, for example.
