I upgraded from windows 7 to Windows 10 (big mistake, I hate it). In windows 7 in the movies folder I had various folders within it containing videos. When I upgraded to windows 10 a couple of the folders disapeared although the movies do appear when I open the Movies & TV app. What I want to know is where in the system can I access the folder which windows 10 has allocated them?

Solution
Windows 10 should not have moved these folders around. Try C:\Users\<Administrator>\Videos for the standard Videos folder of Windows.

If you have no idea where the files are and want to find them you can;

1. If you know the video format (.avi .mp4 .mpeg) etc. You can do a search for all file on the drive -it may take a minute or 2

In a windows explorer with your drive selected, in the search box (top right -as always) type
*.avi or *mp4

This will find all files on system with those extensions...

Or, type *.* in search box, this can take a while on a big drive, then sort results by type and scroll through..

If using Linux you could use "grep" and do this in like 2 seconds but Windows is windows..

Hope this helps
