Where should I buy from?

Hey guys, just a quick question- From what websites is it safe/safest to buy computer parts?

I'm looking to build a computer pretty soon, and just want to make sure I'm doing it right. I've noticed while clicking links to part prices that it shows different prices from different websites. However, I was wondering if certain websites (like Amazon) are more scammy than other websites? Should I avoid some sites completely, or should I just pick whichever one sells my part for the cheapest price?

Some of the best in the US are Newegg and Amazon. Keep in mind though that both are pretty big now, and also have sub vendors that sell on their site, which you need to research well to get an idea of how trustworthy they are.

If you have a Fry's or Microcenter near you, they can be good options too.

If you're going to check other sites, just make sure you peruse their return policy and customer rating.

Pretty much every website listed by PCPartpicker should be safe to buy from. Some sites like Newegg is a Google trusted store and Google will cover up to $1000 if there's an issue that can't be resolved by Newegg. The service is free and can be activated post the transaction. Personally I use Newegg & NCIXUS for my purchases because I've had good service from both and will buy parts from them even if there a slightly higher cost then competitors sites.
