Warface, if you don't already know, is a free to play FPS that is pretty popular. I want to download it, but I noticed that it is also on Steam, not only the host website. Should I download it on Steam or on the original website? If I do download it on one or the other, would there be less features depending on where I downloaded it and will the same players and servers be on Steam and the website version?

Okay, if you just decided to skip the reading or if you just didn't understand my question, would there be any difference in the gaming experience of Warface if I downloaded it on the website or Steam?

While I'm not a user of Steam, from what I've read on these forums is that if you already have a Steam account and download games from there, if you should ever need to re-install Windows, it's a lot easier to keep your games (you don't have to re-install them???); whereas if you downloaded from the developer's site and installed, you'd probably need to re-install the game when you re-installed Windows.

As far as functionality and game content, it should be identical, but again, I'm not a Steam user.

No difference in content. Some people just find having all of their games on steam is more convenient. Developers put the game on steam so more people learn about the game and play it. If you already use steam for all your other games, you might as well use it for this too. If not, there is no point in getting steam just for this one game.

Also you still have to reinstall the games if you reinstall windows, even if you use steam.
