So I haven't built my pc yet and there are a lot of places I could get windows 10 from, where should I get it fro? What's reliable and what's not?

Ok, and which that amazon example, do I just have to download the windows 10 set up on a usb and then use the code from that dvd version? Or do I have to buy a usb version of Windows 10? Thank you.

ALWAYS download Windows directly from Microsoft.

As for a key, I suggest you read this before spending any money. This article explains all of the places to get keys as well as the pros and cons of each.

Everyone will agree that buying a key from an official retailer (EX: Newegg, Amazon, Outlet PC, B+H) is the safest way to get windows 10, however, this route is expensive.

You can run windows 10 unactivated for as long as you like by simply clicking "I don't have a key" during installation. Unactivated Windows 10 is 100% free but does have a few restrictions such as a watermark.

Or you can go with a cheap key from sites like G2A, SCDkeys, and GVGmall. These keys usually work (I have had luck with SCDkeys) and are far more affordable than the $100 keys you see elsewhere. The issue is there is no way to verify where the key came from, whether it will work, or what happens if it doesnt work.

Ok thanks, I’ve heard that Kinguin is good and allows returns if it doesn’t work and stuff, is this true?

The Toms Hardware article I linked talks about Kinguin and returns specifically under the heading "Buy a Cheap Windows 10 Key From a Third-Party Seller"

Basically, the VP of communications at Kinguin says this:
“If there's ever a problem with a key being already activated or something like that, our customer support team helps you get a new key… And that merchant would be in deep trouble, so they are very careful with it,” Jordan said."

In theory you should be able to get help. I cannot vouch for this.

Ok thanks, do you know any place I could ask someone who has bought an oem from Kinguin?
