Where should I plug in watercooler and case fans.

I have a NZXT H440 which comes with 4 fans that are connected to a Hub in the case itself.
I also installed a Deepcool Captain 240 ex.
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 Gaming 5 Z170

Now I am confused about where all the fan connectors should go.

So the onboard hub for the case fans (according to the manual) needs to be connnected to CPU_FAN or CPU_OPT

But I need one of those for the pump and I have two radiator fans aswell.

What I want do to:
Put pump in CPU_OPT. Split CPU_FAN into 3, 2 for the radiator fans and 1 for the onboard hub.

Will this work and is it optimal?

Case fans go into SYS or CHA fan headers.
CPU fan headers are for the CPU cooler / pump / rad
