Hi Everyone!

Recently I remove one of the faulty RAM modules in my computer. I installed again WIN 7.
I notice that when I open the case of the PC and reconnect the 2 hard drives:
1) I have one of them starts to make noises like "knocks" and the computer doesn't start up...after I shut the computer again the problem disappears.
2) when I press the power button the computer starts and shuts down after a second and I have to turn it on again and just then it works...
3) when I reconnect any of the components inside, when the computer is on again the BIOS is reset to default and I get the message "CMOS checksum error". After the first time it doesn't show up again!

Now, after the reinstallation everything is just fine and all the problems arises only when I open the case...

I'm little bit confused what is the problem: The power supplier or on of its cables/the hard drives/motherboard??

Thanks!

Hi again!

I've found that each time I disconnect the computer from the electricity I get the error message "CMOS checksum error" and all of the BIOS settings are back to default.
Can someone confirm that it is a problem of the battery of the Motherboard??

Thanks!
