Where to ask hardware engineering questions?

Ill apologize in advance if this is in the wrong place on the forum.

Im wondering if anyone knows if there is a forum or place ask some questions about a theoretical main board idea i have? I know its an odd thing to post but i have an idea for a "pie in the sky" main board idea and would like to see if my idea is rooted in some sort of reality or if its just crazy talk.
