I know I can get these from frozen cpu but I haven't heard any news on their service being back up to full swing and dont want to get screwed out of my money. Anyone know anywhere else to get one or of a guide on how to make an effective one myself?

I'm familiar with both of those. I was hoping to use a 200mm fan as an intake on the bottom of my bitfenix prodigy m and the top fans as exhaust to work with the natural flow of heat rising. Its just wishful thinking, I highly doubt I will find any performance difference. I just finished overclocking a cpu and regardless of the pressure direction and fan speed I only saw 1-2 degrees temp differences at full load.

been searching but even industrial-wise haven't seen anything that seems right for PC towers. hoping to find one that will attach to the outside of the case from a reputable dealer. none of the Demciflex or the few other images i can find show up in Amazon, Newegg, any other trusted retailers i know of.

Fine Mesh Window Screen replacement, comes in rolls for cutting out to the size you want (amazon.com). Then use a hole puncher (like when we were in grade school) to punch out your screw holes. Try to mount on outside of case (especially on the bottom where it wont be visible) for ease of replace and clean. Since its a DIY project Id measure out screw holes specifically for the filter/screen that is bigger than the 200mm intake fans screw holes.

I would not place the fan directly on top of the / between the fan and case - its very difficult to get it to be perfectly flat, and the fan will touch it causing slight noise. I use this setup on the side intake of my Cooler Master HAF XM as it has extra screw holes for 2x 140mm or 1x 200mm (I use 200mm intake on side) so I cut the screen to the size of the entire intake area and use the 140mm holes as securing my screen. If you take your time (so it doesn't look frayed) it does the job extremely well.
