I need north facing RGB 3-pin/5-pin switches. What is a good destination, or a brand that you could find being offered in the usual places?

I really wanted the Akko Dracula, but those are south-facing RGB, I need north facing.

An example:

Guess I stick with the Gateron 2.0, but hoped there'd be more.

This one of the cheapest places to order switches... MilkTooth

I'm ordering the AKKO Dracula for me Zoom75 TIGA build when it comes in next year, so right there with your.

As for North or South facing, that isn't the switches but the PCB of your keyboard, it has nothing to do with the switch. The switch orientation (where the light comes through), is dependent on the PCB (north or south). With shine through or "pudding" keycaps, you get more RGB from a north facing PCB as the font / shine through is towards to top of the keycaps.

When the talk about RGB switches, they are normally talking about clear switches versus solid color, which allows more light to come through.

What are switches, if there are such, that are made to have maximum letter glow/readabilty, but least PCB backglow?

I need to only see glowing letters in the dark very clearly, but as little as possible RGB light underneath the keycaps.

You will want a north facing PCB with a solid "color" switch. This will allow the light to only shine through the opening and into the shine through key caps.

If you go with a clear switch or south facing PCB, the RGB will shine more through the bottom.
