I've been having a problem the last 2 weeks or so since installing the '750W Seasonic Focus GX 750 80PLUS Gold '

There's a known problem with this PSU that in the case of high end GPU's you may need to upgrade the wiring from your PSU.

Someone posted this:

The solution is quite simple though, some modified PCIe cables with enhanced shielding make the problem go away.

I've been browsing around for the last hour or so but haven't found anything suitable to purchase that's compatible with seasonic psu's, anyone know of anywhere I can buy some from (Pref UK shipping)

Solution
My old PSU isnt' good enough to use with a 3070 so I don't think that's an option.
Not sure how I can test if it is a GPU problem

Just for seeing if you can get the darn thing to boot properly, the Corsair CX 600, mediocre PSU as it was, is perfectly safe for that purpose. The idea is to save you time and money!
That is not the same model that you said you have.

That article is from 2018 your PSU was not released till

I was reading this line - "FOCUS PLUS & ASUS GTX970 STRIX: In very limited instances black screen may occur under heavy VGA usage. Current testing showed that certain VGA cards may emit higher than normal ripple when under heavy load and using a modified PCIe cables with enhanced shielding resolved the issue."

And again, you didn't buy this PSU in 2018. This was not a blanket incompatibility issue with all SeaSonic PSUs or all SeaSonic PSUs under the Focus line or a blanked incompatibility issue with all GPUs with SeaSonic.

Nor was there anything about a GTX 3070. Assuming this is still the card in question. Did it work with your previous PSU if so? Because again, that's something you didn't tell us here either. The better the information, the better the advice given.

Still that was a focus plus made in 2018 I'm sure they have corrected the problem and the PSU you bought is the Focus GX not even the same model.

It is indeed a 3070, when I installed the 3070 I also installed the PSU so it was never in with my previous CPU.

The exact problem they mention is what's happening to me though so assuming this could of been a possible fix as I believe I have a FOCUS PLUS - "FOCUS PLUS power supplies can have issues with certain graphics cards resulting in black screens"

Specific PSUs with specific GPUs.

If you want to buy new cables before testing out old PSU or verifying the GPU is a problem, that's your choice of course, but you're making huge assumptions about the problem, which was a very specific one, not something that talked about a whole array of GPUs or future PSUs that did not even exist at that point. My 2018 Subaru had a recall relating to the CVT accelerating at low speeds; that doesn't mean that someone who buys a 2023 Subaru in two years has the same defect if they have an acceleration problem.
