where to download "backup" win2k

I went out and bought win2k professional. Then I get home, and it works fine. (It may have even helped with stability in getting my celeron upgrade to work, 633@950). BUT when I it won't shutdown right. It just freezes when you try to shutdown (and no its not the overclocking, I've tried it with original specs and still same thing). Computer shutsdown fine in win98. I went to their web page and it said they would charge $195 for technical help. $195!!!!! I am so pissed off right now, I want to find an ftp site so I can download a "backup" of win2k server. Maybe it will shutdown correctly. Anyone know where I can get it? maybe an ftp site? Have You tried to change power managment both in Control Panel and Bios? It was solution for me on a similar problem...
Try to solve a problem not to go around!

And they said schizophrenia is annoying?

littlebro is right. It definitely sounds like an issue with your power management. Fiddle with your ACPI and APM settings in your bios and control panel/power management settings like he suggests. Its not because you have a "bum" disk.

I don't have a burned disk. I bought a real oem version of win2k professional. I am saying that Microsoft is a big criminal corporation. You can't tell me $195 for a tech support EMAIL is not rediculous, can you? They have a monopoly, and as a result, they have taken us hostage. Who would pay 195 dollars for someone to send them an email? I appreciate the advice about the settings in bios and win2k. I have already played with those several times to try to correct it. I will do so more, and maybe it will help.
