Where to find graphics cards?

I am looking to do my first personal build. I have bought pre made computers before, but I want to build my own this time around. However as I look at graphics cards, any I am interested in seem to be out of stock/not made any more. I am specifically looking at the higher end 1070s, 1080s. Is this just because of the 2080s that whatever is out there? Or is there a time of year new ones/restocks are done?

Where are you looking?
I just looked through Newegg, and they have a wide selection of 1070, 1070ti, 1080, and 1080ti.

I was looking at the MSI GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X TRIO or the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11G so far. But it just seems that all the sites I look at either have them used, over 1000 grand, or out of stock and was just wondering if I was missing some secret.

Well, if you're looking at only those two particular ones, they may well be out of stock or too expensive.

As mentioned, Newegg is a good place to look.

Update, maybe this isn't the Aorus Extreme version that you are looking for? I somehow doubt that card is a couple hundred dollars better though.
