Hello

I have two disks available in my system:

  • 1TB PCI M2
  • SSD drive with approx. 300GB available

I am wondering whether it is better to install OS on SSD and use entire M2 for data (games etc) or maybe install OS on a dedicated partition on the M2 drive (approx. size 200GB) and use space left on M2 for data. What do you think?

Thank you for your reply. I assume that the reason of you choice would be performance, right? Do you know how much faster M2 would be in such scenario?

I am wondering about this, because, at the other hand, my guess it that installing OS on SSD would increase the M2 drive lifetime, is that correct? Also, is there any performance benefit from reading data from two separate drives at the same time? My motherboard is MSI B450.
